"The wise say, that a son is like oneself reborn from one's wife, therefore, a man whose wife has given him a son should regard her as his own mother. Contemplating the face of the son one has obtained from his wife, is like seeing one's own reflection in a mirror, bringing as much joy as a virtuous man reaching heaven.
Men overwhelmed by problems find solace in the company of their wives, much like a sweaty man in a cool bath. No man, not even in anger, should do anything unpleasant to his wife, for happiness, joy, and virtue depend on the wife." (Mahabharata)
